Charting with spreadsheets

Level 4

Level 4 example comment ('shoes') - a basic title is included but there is no real indication as to what the chart is showing. The student needs a more detailed title and the legend need to show that it is the list of shoe sizes.

Level 5

Level 5 example comment ('shoes') - the student has chosen a 3D pie chart to enhance the display. Labels and titles have been included. This work is fine for the purpose is printed off, however, the student could enhance the work by placing it into another document.

bulletCharts contain heading, a legend (if appropriate) and labelled axes

Level 6

Level 6 example comment (''wires') - a detailed chart has been produced with correctly chosen labels, legends, scale (x axis) and formats (colours). The chart has then been copied and pasted into a Word document.

bulletFormat the chart/graph to suit the intended audience
bulletChart axes chosen to clearly represent the data - i.e. the data is displayed in a clear way with no distractions
bulletCopy then paste into another document
