Desk top publishing - leaflet design

Level 4

Level 3/4 example comment ('Jayne's holiday') - text is not spell checked (although a lot of information has been used). No images are included which stops the work from achieving level 4.

Level 4 example comment ('Jayne's holiday')- student has included text and and two images (using drawing tools. The images are not really related to the task - they have been added for impact. Information has been included from a variety of sources. Text boxes have been used to enclose text.

bulletWrite some text using text boxes where appropriate.
bulletCheck it for spelling and grammar
bulletInclude a title or heading in a different font (size, format)
bulletInclude one graphic image
bulletEnhance text using bold/italics/WordArt

Level 5

Level 5+ example comment ('Jayne's holiday')- student has produced a leaflet with appropriate images and layout. To extend the work the student need to add a table - see below. Work has been checked. A wide range of text and numerical data/information has been included.

bulletUse paragraphs correctly - spacing them and using indents appropriately
bulletTitle/heading in appropriate format/font for document's audience
bulletInclude appropriate images
bulletEnhance text using bold/italics/WordArt to match the intended audience.

Level 6

Level 5/6 example comment ('Jayne's holiday')- student has added a table of data - to be a firm level 6 the students would need to produce a chart of the data included. This work is high level 5/low level 6. Images have come from both the internet and ClipArt.

Level 6 example comment - student has included and reformatted a great deal of information, data and graphics (a map). Images have come from both the internet and ClipArt.
